Elemental Earth2 is included in Elemental as a bonus color, but we decided to give it away free. Based on the same style as the other colors in Elemental, the brown gradient and ruffled leaf graphics of the Elemental Earth2 theme compliment the other colors…but make this theme bold enough to stand on its own.

Feel free to use it in your own presentations or give it away. We simply ask that you not sell it release it in any modified or unmodified form as your own work.

UPDATE: If the installer gave you an error, the theme most likely installed correctly. We left a script in the installer that is looking for a demo file that isn’t included in this theme, so while you’ll get an error, it will still install. A new version has been posted now, so the error has been fixed.

Keynoteuser.com is proud to announce the release of Keynote ’09 updaters for our Keynote ’08 themes. The beauty of these updaters is that they don’t actually change the structure of the ’08 themes, so they’re still ’08 themes. The updater simply installs special preview images into the theme that show up in the Keynote ’09 theme selector. Open Keynote ’08 and they work like normal. Open Keynote ’09 and you now get beautiful sample images in the Theme Selector that you can scrub through, just like Apple’s themes.

The Keynote 09 updaters for Galleria, PowerBlue 08 and Gradient Pack 08 are available now in the software downloads area at our parent site thepeatgroup.com.

Click here to grab your updater

Notice: If you purchase one of our 08 themes after today, they are already updated, so you do not need to run these updaters.

As you can see, things look quite a bit different around here. We’ve upgraded to WordPress 2.7 and switched the site over to 100% wordpress. In the past, the front page was a badly hacked together html page with the wordpress engine patched into the center of it. WordPress was then stuck in a sub folder (called /news/). The whole thing was messy. We’ve moved the whole wordpress engine up to the main level, and thanks to some special server changes, any link that used to go to /news/ now goes to the top level. It’s all rather slick.

We’ve got more changes coming, and you can see some parts aren’t finished (like the ad block on the right side of the page). Our freebies section is still a work in progress, mostly because there aren’t any really good download managers for WordPress. We’re trying to decide if we should just make freebies a category and link to a category page, or actually install a download manager and try to get it looking nice.

Feel free to post comments, but be nice We chose a premade theme, and the wood grain just seemed to go well with the whole “Keynote’s logo is a wooden podium” feel. If there was a page you liked that has been removed, comment on it here. We do plan to put up some of the old stuff (redone of course) but much of the old reviews and tips were REALLY old. The support area is being moved to our parent site (www.thepeatgroup.com) since that’s where the theme store resides. It should make things easier for people purchasing themes.

Anyway, have a look around and tell us what you think!

Keynoteuser.com is proud to introduce our newest Keynote 08 theme, PowerBlue 08

Keynoteuser.com is proud to introduce our newest Keynote 08 theme, PowerBlue 08. With full HD (and even iPod/DVD) theme sizes, this is a huge upgrade. We’ve included 6 theme sizes in 6 layouts (36 actual theme files) and even a 1920×1200 size (this is the resolution of Apple’s 23″ screen and their highest res. MacBook Pro model).

In addition to the new sizes, PowerBlue 08 has been completely rebuilt to support Apple’s new Media Placeholder system, which allows you to move, resize or crop your photos. No more being locked into photo cutouts! Also new is the ability to edit the header and footer boxes on the included lecture layouts without having to visit the Master slides. Creating and editing lectures has never been easier. And now even the included timeline slides can be changed without editing the Master slide. You can move, resize or recolor the timeline bar any time you want.

PowerBlue 08 also includes more extras, an updated demo project and even more tutorials.

PowerBlue 08 is available now for $36.95 in our store
(current PowerBlue owners should have received an upgrade e-mail with a special discount coupon. If you didn’t receive one, just e-mail us at support @ keynoteuser.com).

Sometime mid to late day yesterday our server went down at our host. It finally came back up at about 10:45 eastern today (Tuesday). If you e-mailed us during that time, your message likely either didn’t get to us, or it bounced back. Thankfully, we didn’t lose any data (except possibly some emails). The server has been completely rebuilt and is obviously now up and running. Hopefully it didn’t cause any issues with our faithful readers.

KeynoteUser.com is proud to announce the release of their first new theme in two years.

KeynoteUser.com is proud to announce the release of their first new theme in two years. PowerBlue was created to be usable in jus about any presentation setting, while still being able to show off the greate Keynote style. The bold, blue gradient background and light graphical treatment of the Master slides stands out while not being too over-the-top like many Keynote themes.

The Basic PowerBlue package includes 32 Master slides in both Palatino and HelveticaNeue, plus a set of alternate Masters with different Title treatments (for a total of 4 theme files). As with all KeynoteUser.com themes, there are loads of included extras (even a mini button making system), a full demo presentation file and several detailed tutorials. Also included is an advanced tutorial that explains how to replace the entire color scheme of the theme, allowing the user to create a completely new theme based on the current layouts.

The Full PowerBlue adds to the standard package a special PowerBlue Lecture theme (in both Palatino and HelveticaNeue), complete with editable running headers and footers on each Master slide. These can be easily edited to place lecture or class titles, so they don’t have to be added to each slide. In addition to the editable headers and footers, PowerBlue Lecture includes special Section slides, with special Title treatments, and even horizontal timeline layouts for creating custom timelines. Also included are timeline extras, a fill full of alternate header and footer treatments, and a detailed tutorial on how to use the Lecture theme.

PowerBlue is available for immediate download for $19.95 (Basic) or $26.95 (Full). More information is available at the PowerBlue product page

Keynoteuser.com released a huge upgrade to their popular Candy theme today...

Keynoteuser.com (that’s us!) released a huge upgrade to their popular Candy theme today…

Candy 2 is nearly twice the size of Candy 1 and includes a totally new theme called Candy Blue. Based on the same feel, but sporting a new blue gradient look, you can now mix and match two looks in one presentation. or drop the stripes all together and go for blue alone. Also included are pages and pages of extras, including scalable/fillable/strokable objects that can’t can’t be created inside Keynote. We managed to get them in there for you, and we’ve given you a huge assortment to play with.

You’ll also find things like pulsing capsule buttons, animated objects, modifyable capsules (make them any shape you want) several button styles, chart overlays (give your pie charts a 3d look) and many other objects. We even managed to create a strokable/fillable version of our signature “little guy” so you can make him any color you like, or even outline if you want. Just to sweeten the package we included a countdown break timer that counts down from 10 minutes and then reminds your audience to return to their seats.

Also included is a custom photo slide creation system called Candy Machine. Pick a “blank” layout, then pick a cutout style and drop them into your presentation. Move the cutout around to your liking and cover up the seams with masking pieces.

Candy 2 can be purchased and downloaded from KeynoteUser.com for $26.95. Upgrades for Candy 1 owners are just $10.00.
