Designed with film and video pros in mind, PitchBoards has been updated and reworked for Keynote 3. With the addition of new slide variations, expanded “extras”, and all new HD slides, your cinematic ideas take center stage even better than before.

PitchBoards 3 now has up to 58 master slides (in the Pro/Producer Editions) including slides optimized for Keynote 3′s “Reflection” effect and new 2/3 column slides in the HD themes to provide a structured, shot-specific alternate to the Scene slides. The most popular aspect ratios for both film and video are included along with “standard” general-purpost text and photo-oriented slides. In addition, each aspect ratio has an associated Title Screen, Photo layout, and Scene Slide masters as well as 2 styles of Storyboard layouts. The Classic version covers the 4:3, 3:2, and 16:9 aspect ratios and, if you need even more options, the Pro version covers the 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 1.85:1, 2.35:1 and IMAX aspect ratios. Just drop in your imagery, scale as needed and use the guides for precise alignment within each of the image frames.

Since Keynote 3 limits the page-defined layout areas to a single Title and Text area, you would have to place any other repeating elements on more complex layouts yourself. The Supplemental file cuts this time by providing you with additional ready-to-use layouts – just copy/paste elements or drag entire specialized slides into your presentation. All required text such as studio or production name, has already been placed, aligned and sized so you’re ready to go when you open the file. The Supplemental Materials also include the two standard 1-up board layouts with all supporting text in place as well as a 2-up board layout and 2-up and 6-up Character/Bio layouts.

Palette/fills are available for easy access as well as Zoom Overlay Objects which allow you to build Zoom-In or Zoom-Out camera tracks with a simple object-level build directly in Keynote. They’re provided in both opaque white and two shades of gray in each of the available aspect ratios, so you can pick the right zoom based on your format and color needs. New Aspect Ratio Overlay objects allow you to lock your free-placed imagery to an aspect-ratio of your choice, especially useful on the new Reflection-optimized slides.

The PitchBoards Motion Pack, included with the Producer Edition or available as a stand-alone download for use with other themes, brings a level of motion to your static storyboards presentations. It includes 20 stock-motion arrow elements, each available in Green, Red, and Blue so you can add motion descriptors to your still imagery or objects with ease. Each of these alpha-enabled QuickTime movies are pre-animated with fades and shadows so they’ll fit right in with nearly any style of imagery. The clips are available in a range of 2D and 3D styles, from a 45-degree slow 3D pan to simple horizontal and vertical pans as well as rotations and double-arrow tracks. All of the clips can be flipped or rotated to suit your own needs.

The PitchBoards 3 EP (Elevator Pitch) Edition is also included with the Producer Edition (and is also a stand-alone theme download). It’s the same great theme revised to take the core elements of your pitch to the iPod Video in a format optimized for small-screen viewing. It also has Title Safe adjustments allowing you to use your iPod with the iPod AV Cable and a television or projector without losing any of the important details. It includes 24 master slides from standard presentation-style to storyboard slides in TV, HD and Widescreen film aspect ratios, including 2-up boards in the 4:3, 3:2, and 16:9 aspect ratios.

All versions of PitchBoards 3 are compatible with Keynote presentations exported from Final Draft AV giving you a complete pre-production solution for scripting and storyboarding. Simply create your script in Final Draft AV (2.05 or higher), export to Keynote, select one of the PitchBoards themes and you’re ready to add the final touches using PitchBoard’s layouts and extensive Supplemental Materials.
