Kinemac is a 3D Real Time Animation and Presentation application that allows you to create professional looking 3D animations with the ease of a 2D tool. With it’s support for exporting QuickTime movies with Alpha channels, you can create your own 3D imagery to integrate into your Keynote presentations.

You can now drag and drop a 3DS (3D Studio) file onto the stage window to import your 3D model into your animation. Freely set the color, reflection or apply an image or movie texture to any surface and detach surfaces to create separately animated independent sprites. If rendering speed is a problem with many objects in a scene, there’s now a quickly toggled (via the “.” key) WireFrame mode.

To help with managing your objects on the stage, you’re now able to select several objects and apply a change to the group and there are a new set of alignment options for objects and text. Also new for text is the ability to set several text objects in one shot without opening the edit-text window.

A sprite library has been added (and comes with some sample objects) and you can add your own sprites with a click and drag to the library. You can also now easily insert and delete frames of a sprite using the mouse. New lighting, camera and interface refinement (including use of the Apple Remote on certain computers) makes for a feature packed upgrade.
