Use Post-holes.com video clips in Keynote

Though they make video clips primarily for video editors to use in such programs as Final Cut Pro and After Efffects, we’ve discovered that you can use Post-Holes.com clips in Keynote. What’s different about the Post-Holes clips are that they have had their backgrounds removed, so when you drop one on your slide all you’ll see is the primary subject of the video sitting on top of your clip. Think of it as Photo objects for video.
Most of the clips on Post-holes.com are of people, but there is a large assortment of styles, so if you’re looking for a clip that matches some sort of theme, you’re likely to find it there.
Here’s a quick demo movie I made using one of their clips in Keynote 2. Only the people and the rope are part of the video, the black background and the colord boxes are all Keynote. The blue box is set on a delay, and then a really slow build so it nearly matches the rope’s movement. You’ll see some compression artifacts in the video, that’s because we compressed it using the medium setting in Keynote, the actual video clip quality is great.
The only problem we see with these clips is that, since they are made for video editors, sometimes they are too long or too slow to work well in a presentation environment. You could open them in QuickTime Pro and trim them, but if you aren’t into video editing that might not be something you want to mess with.
Post-holes wants your feedback. If enough Keynote users are interested in their products, they might be willing to create a special Keynote collection of clips that’s tailored to presentation use. This means, shorter clips that work better in our environment. So, if you’re interested in this kind of thing e-mail them at info@post-holes.com and KINDLY tell them what your interests are and what you’d be looking for in a product for Keynote.

Your video clips are very interesting for a diverting presentation. The example is a good exhibit. You can do, for example:
1.- A hand or a person than take a line from right of slide to left side. Or take lines of the upper as a curtain.
2.- Pushing or pulling, 1, 2 or 3 persons, as the example, to look as pushing or pulling a box text.
3.- I think most of videos must mimic than a text box move, jumping, crushing, running, etc.
4.- Sherlock Homes, is good, a big eye in the presentation, I make more bigger the eye, the take nearly, and a little sorter.
5.- Tipic topic of teachers: marking with a finger, shouting, moving a ruler…..
6.- Painter, than paint a wall and at the same time moving left or right, as sitting in a platform.
7.- Impact videos, as throw water or stones or another things to the audiencie.
OK, bye and congratulations for your colaborations and interest with KTN user.
